Urbane Development: Caton Flats

A new Caribbean marketplace opened in Brooklyn's Flatbush with a slew of food vendors, local retailers and more than 20,000 square feet of community space.

Jong Sook Nee was excited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for Caton Flats, a new mixed-use development in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn that consists of LIHTC affordable housing, community space, retail stalls, lounges, a food court, kitchens, maker laboratories and space that will be used as an accelerator for new businesses. This is a dynamic and multi-platform community center intended to support and lift the Caribbean community within the Flatbush area and beyond.

Our firm assisted Urbane with the drafting and negotiations of the various documents to manage and operate the site as well as the documents and legal services for licenses and users. This project is a culmination of many years of dedication by Urbane and their collaboration with BRP Companies as well as the commitment and generosity of the City of New York through its New York City Economic Development Corporation.

Congratulations to the Urbane Development team on this amazing project!
